The earth ox border and foothills demarcated the Three Tiers Ethnic Spatial Regime in Qing Taiwan, which constituted the governance deployment based on the territorization of ethnic groups -- Chinese, Plain Aborigines (Cultivated Aborigines), and Mountain Aborigines (Raw Aborigines). This study explores the earth ox ditch founded in the mid-eighteenth century Taiwan by means of QGIS and Google Street View applications, to reveal the shaping of Cultivated Aborigines Buffer Zone that Quarantined both Chinese and Raw Aborigines. Subsequent discussion focuses on how the quarantine of Chinese encroachment of aborigine lands backfired and unintendedly led to the cross border illegal reclamation, the formation of frontier private forces, and thus the erupt of the largest islandwide rebellion, Lin Shuang-Wen revolt.
