Nanoparticles are so small; can they be seen with an optical microscope? By using an interference scattering (iSCAT) optical microscope developed in the lab, you can observe individual nanoparticles in a sample in real-time! It also demonstrates how the properties of light affect the detection sensitivity of the microscope.
