The ocean absorbs 30% of the CO2 produced by human activities! Seaweeds are not only a source of food and feed for humans, various land-farmed animals, and fishes, but they also have great potential to become a carbon sink in blue carbon initiatives. This event aims to explain how seaweed farming can be utilized to create blue carbon sinks and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The event will be conducted through a lecture, interspersed with quizes on marine science and blue carbon topics, with various shaped helium balloons as prizes.
