The collections and general stacks of the Fu Ssu-nien Library contain works on Chinese classics, history, literature, philology, archaeology, paleography, and anthropology, among other fields; moreover, being in possession of the richest and most important collection of rare books and those with thread-stitch binding in Taiwan has positioned the FSN Library as the most important library for textual and historical research. For the 2024 Academia Sinica Open House, the FSN Reading Area, which will be open for the public, will display Chinese and foreign-language reference books, significant journals and periodicals, as well as the publications of IHP research staff. In addition, interested visitors may may register for a scheduled guided tour of the general stacks, a further glimpse at the treasure trove of historical research found at the FSN Library.
