When archaeology is brought up, the images immediately conjured up in our minds likely include the Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, the Terracotta Army, Mayan or Aztec culture of the New World or other more classic examples from around the world. But when focusing our attention on here in Taiwan, how does archaeological cultural heritage intersect with our everyday lives? And what kinds of sparks have been ignited as a result of that intersection? In addition to providing a glimpse of how archaeological cultural heritage is understood and co-exists within in two very different contexts, namely Taiwan and Peru, this lecture also welcomes attendees to share their experiences of encountering forms of cultural heritage in our daily lives.
