Using remote controls and fake note checkers, stuff that are available in our daily life, we introduce a concept that some lights are invisible to the human eye, if without aids. Astronomy studies the entire spectrum, but only a small part of the spectrum is visible to the naked eyes. From this hands-on activity, participants can learn about infrared and UV -- the invisible lights that can be seen by our eyes when with a little help from some instruments, even very ordinary ones. It also serves as an opportunity to introduce to the participants that other lights such as radio waves, X-rays, etc., must be made visible when astronomers observe our universe.
