2023 Academia Sinica Open House

Academia Sinica hosts more than 1,000 international individuals, among whom there are over 400 researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and research assistants engaged in academic research. Additionally, Academia Sinica collaborates with ten Taiwanese universities to offer the “International Graduate Program,” which is conducted entirely in English and admits outstanding Taiwanese and international students pursuing doctoral degrees. Currently, there are more than 400 foreign students enrolled, representing 47 different countries.

Every year, Academia Sinica organizes a welcome party, during which many international students proudly don their traditional attire, radiating enthusiasm and joy while sharing their cultures. This time, the Department of International Affairs has planned the “Global Cultural Showcase”event, where international students will be invited to wear their traditional clothing and introduce their country's customs, cultures, cuisines, festivals, and so on. It is an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in the customs and cultures of various countries! While international students will present in English, there will also be translators available, so there's no need to worry about language barriers. We welcome you to sign up and join us!
