We are going to introduce our group's research on novel quantum materials and the computational methods we use. We will focus on two-dimensional materials and how they adsorb on metal substrates, the large variety of ways electrons can interact in twisted bilayer graphene as well as how heat is transported in semiconductors. In order to get familiar with basic concepts like the crystal structure of the above materials or the physics behind the phenomena we are studying, we are going to offer interactive computer visualizations and real physical models. For those who want to dive in a bit deeper, the main research results will be summarized in a poster.
