This talk will focus on the moral status of animals and invite
everyone to think about the question of “how should we treat Animals?” On the one
hand, I will introduce the conceptions of animal liberation and animal rights from the western
philosophy to the audiences in order to understand the argumentations in protecting animals.
On the other hand, I will add some perspectives from the Chinese philosophy in the animal
essence into the dialogue and encourage the audiences to shape and express their own
perspectives in protecting animals.
