The GRC’s ultra-high speed screening system (uHTS) is a versatile platform, equipped with state-of-the-art robotic system that can be used to synchronically automate millions of compound screening, whether an assay is chromophore signal or cell phenotypic change detection design. GRC has collected more than 2 million small molecule compounds. Including known active compounds, natural products and their modified derivatives, Chinese herbal medicine, microbial metabolites, for biochemical and cell-based screens, to discover bioactive small molecules and explore disease targets and mechanisms. We foresee that the uHTS platform could be applied to discover potential small molecules through optimizing structural efficiency and pharmacokinetics by medChem scientists, thus contribute to the pharmaceutical research and development of Taiwan.
