In archaeology, excavation plays a
key role in understanding prehistoric cultures. This activity will give participants an overview of
the basic concepts and principles in archaeological excavation, as well as common relics unearthed
at archaeological sites in Taiwan. In addition, participants are invited to “dig into”
simulated earth layers to appreciate the magic of archaeological excavation. As luck would have it,
some surprises may be waiting at the end of digging.
The maximum capacity of each session is 30 people. Distribution of experience vouchers will begin at 8:30AM on the day of the event. Each person should take only one voucher, which is valid for one session. Voucher-holding visitors should report to the venue (Building for Taiwan Archaeological Studies) 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.
